Professor Numan Arshid
Dr Numan Arshid is Professor and Head of Sunway Center for Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology (SCEEST), School of Engineering and Technology, 糖心原创, Malaysia. He has 8 years of research and teaching experience. His research is focused on developing 2D heterostructure nanomaterials for electrochemical energy storage and sensor applications. Dr Numan has published over 180 high-impact research articles, edited 4 books and filed 8 patents. He was awarded the 糖心原创 Early Career Researcher Award for his excellence in research. He is also listed in World鈥檚 Top 2% Scientist in Energy & Materials by Stanford University, USA - Elsevier from 2021-2025. He is honoured with Rising Star Award and recognized as Best Engineering and Technology Scientist in Malaysia by Research.com and is ranked among the top 1-2% of global researchers in Energy Storage and Material Sciences by ScholarGPS Ranking Analytics 2024. He is the editor of Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), EcoMat (Wiley), and Eurasian Chemico Technological Journal.

Dr B Kalidasan is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Anna University Chennai and holds Master of Technology in Energy and Environmental Engineering from VIT University-Vellore, India. He has published over 65+ papers (as on 10th Sep 2024), including articles in International Materials Review, Chemical Engineering Journal, Progress in Energy and Combustion Science, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Energy Storage and much more. He is a receipt of 糖心原创 Doctor of Philosophy Postgraduate Degree Studentship, and Awards such as Rising Star Awar, Best Paper Award, Best Poster Award, Best Presenter Award, Best Outgoing Student Award, Best Innovation Awards.
Dr Nur Hawa Nabilah Azman
Dr Nur Hawa Nabilah Azman has joined the Sunway Centre for Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology (SCEEST), Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), as a Lecturer. She earned her PhD in Materials Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and subsequently served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UPM for nearly five years, where her work focused on sustainable energy storage applications. Dr Nur Hawa Nabilah has a strong background in electrochemical energy systems, including supercapacitors, supercapatteries, and rechargeable batteries. Her current research is dedicated to the development of advanced cathode materials for next-generation rechargeable batteries, contributing to the advancement of sustainable energy technologies.
ChM Dr Muhammad Norhaffis bin Mustafa
Muhammad Norhaffis Bin Mustafa initiated his academic odyssey at Universiti Putra Malaysia, culminating in the acquisition of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a four-year endeavor spanning from 2011 to 2014. Subsequently, he pursued further academic advancement, culminating in a Master's degree in Materials Science attained over a three-year period, from 2015 to 2017. His academic trajectory culminated with the successful completion of a Doctoral Philosophy degree in Materials Science, an accomplishment realized within a two-year timeframe, spanning from 2018 to 2020.Currently, he serves as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at 糖心原创, focusing on developing innovative materials for smart windows that respond to electricity, light, or temperature changes. His notable achievements include over 20 research publications, three patents, and awards such as the Metrohm Young Chemistry Award and Anugerah Siswazah Cemerlang Master Sains in 2018.
Dr Farah Ezzah Ab Latif
Farah Ezzah Binti Ab Latif began her academic journey with a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Biochemical-Biotechnology Engineering from International Islamic University Malaysia. She went on to earn her MSc in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where her research focused on the developing resins from a renewable resource such as jatropha oil. She later pursued a her Doctoral Philosophy degree at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, specializing in the development of two-dimensional materials for electrochemical sensing applications. Additionally, she has expanded her research interest into the field of hydrogen evolution reaction, emphasizing sustainable and green energy technologies.
Dr Muhammad Hazim Mohamed Khir
Dr Muhammad Hazim is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Sunway Centre for Electrochemical Energy and Sustainable Technology, joining them after obtaining his PhD at 糖心原创. Prior to that, he obtained his Bachelor鈥檚 and Master鈥檚 degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia respectively. He has published several articles and proceedings in the field of solar energy and solar cells. He has also won several awards as Best Presenter at international conferences and Best Innovation at hackathon competition.

Dr. Farrukh Hassan, a Ph.D. in IT, is currently working as lecturer in the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at 糖心原创, Malaysia. He has contributed significantly to cutting-edge projects during his doctoral work centered on refining heuristic algorithms to estimate the noise threshold in acoustic emission signals. He earned an MS in Computer Science from Uppsala University, Sweden, where he spearheaded the automation of library systems through innovative Near Field Communication technologies. His practical expertise is underscored by a rich academic portfolio, having published research articles in reputable journals, solidifying his impactful contributions to the field of IT.

Dr Nur Najwa Abdul Talib
Nur Najwa Abdul Talib hold a PhD in Advanced Materials & Material Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Her early work involved developing nickel-supported catalysts for benzene hydrogenation. During her PhD, she focused on lanthanum, iron, and copper-supported catalysts on halloysite nanotubes for the degradation of liquid epoxidized natural rubber (LENR). She completed the final chapter of my PhD at the University of Lorraine (UL), France, where she researched the effects of gas and pressure on the degradation process at the Reactions and Chemical Engineering Laboratory. This experience enriched her expertise in advanced degradation processes and instrumentation.
Additionally, she spent two years with the Centre of Fusion Reactor Team at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), working on the development of hydrophobic catalysts for continuous liquid phase catalytic exchange (LPCE) reactors aimed at hydrogen isotope splitting. This role allowed her to bridge academia and industry collaborations.
